Morten
Buschmann is originally a drummer and has played
since childhood. He did his first gig at the age of 16.
And it went very well.
So well that he pursued a career as a professional drummer,
percussionist and drumteacher for almost 15 years.
Then he became a journalist, and has worked
as such on tv, radio and newspapers for some years.
The guy from Copenhagen was the one who got
the idea of making a new album with Henrik Andersen. Morten
Buschmann loves Andersens album “Hotelroom Recordings”
from 2001, where you actually can hear the first versions
of some of the songs of One Nation Under A Groove! Great
tunes, but they were in odd time! Morten Buschmann phoned
Andersen and said: “Why don’t we record them
again in 4/4, with me as the producer?” Andersen agreed,
and Buschmann contacted his longtime friend and keyboardplayer
Flemming Pedersen to do the first recordings.
Henrik Andersen says about the drummer: “He’s
got super time as a drummer and he's got big big ears, when
it comes to producing and detecting good original melodies”
Morten Buschmann has played with great danes
as Cæcilie Norby, Søs Fenger, Bobo Moreno and
Peter Busborg and many many more bands of all genres.
He lives alone at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, devoting
most of his time to One Nation Under A Groove, PR and producing.
